Amber Greasley Crowned Miss World Australia 2011

Amber Greasley, a Queensland model, beat 26 other beauties to be crowned Miss World Australia 2011 on August 27, 2011 at the Citiclub on Queen in Melbourne. She will represent Australia in Miss World 2011 Pageant. The first runner-up was Mietta Gornall and the second runner-up was Jade Cara.

The 18-year-old journalism student impressed the judges — winning the swimwear aspect of the competition and the Healthy Body Image award before being crowned the overall winner. “It hasn’t quite sunk in yet so I’m looking forward to celebrating the win with the rest of the girls,” she told Nine News. “There were some amazing contestants in it so it was definitely tough competition.”
