Road to Miss America 2013:
Aniska Tonge was crowned Miss America Virgin Islands 2012 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, St. Thomas on August 13, 2012. The beauty from St. Thomas is 21 years old. She will represent Virgin Islands in the annual Miss America Pageant in January 2013.
She will compete in the Miss America 2013

Aniska’s platform ‘Building Self-Esteem in Young Women through Education and Pageantry’. Her talent is vocal.
Aniska is a graduate of University of South Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. She plans to attend Barry University in Miami for graduate studies. She will pursue a Masters Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Mass Communication because she wants her platform to be her ‘job’.
She said it is her intention to continue to reach out to young women and encourage them to always pursue their dreams in a big way.
She believes that success can only be achieved through hard work, determination and a strong belief in one’s ability.
Four beautiful and talented young ladies from the community, who are committed to higher education, community service and the performing arts, will be vying for the title of 2012 Miss Virgin Islands. They are: Aniska Tonge of St. Thomas, a 21-year-old graduate of the University of South Florida; Shakirah Ritter of St. Croix, a 19-year-old sophomore at the University of the Virgin Islands; Cathriellah Shabazz of St. Croix, a 19-year-old beginning freshman at the University of the Virgin Islands; and Ashley Massiah of St. Croix, a 20-year-old junior at the University of the Virgin Islands.
