24-year-old Carina Tyrrell was crowned Miss Cambridgeshire 2014 at the conclusion of the local pageant held on Sunday 6th April 2014 at the Menzies Hotel, Cambridge. She will represent the region in the finale of Miss England 2014 pageant in Torquay, Devon in June, vying for the right to compete in Miss World 2014 pageant in London.

Carina is in her fifth year of medicine at Cambridge University’s Murray Edwards College. Besides studying, she is also working as a model and at the city’s Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
Newly crowned Miss Cambridgeshire 2014 Carina Tyrrell is a medical student. She is also working as a model and at a hospital.
Carina is also president of the Global Health Society at the university, which has just started a project to help the homeless in Cambridge.
At the same event, Amber Twell was named the first runner-up and Chelsie Smithson was named the second runner-up.
12 beautiful ladies vied for the title. They competed in 5 rounds before the winner was announced which included a fundraising round for Beauty with a Purpose, and Eco fashion round, Sports, Public vote and an Eveningwear round.
Judges included the reigning Miss England Kirsty Heslewood , Andrea Leggott from With a Touch of Sparkle and David Freeman fashion photographer.
