Chelsea Ingram was crowned Miss Vermont 2012 on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the South Burlington High School Performing Arts Center, South Burlington, VT. The beauty from St. Johnsbury is 23 years old. She will represent Vermont in the Miss America 2013 Pageant to be held in Las Vegas in January 2013.
As Miss Vermont, Chelsea Ingram gets $9,000 worth of scholarships and over $12,000 in prizes.
Chelsea works as the weekend meteorologist for Fox44 and ABC22, a media duopoly in Colchester, VT and fills in often during the week. In addition to her part-time job with Fox44 and ABC22, Chelsea works as a full-time Miss Vermont serving the Green Mountain State in many ways including promoting her personal platform, “Heart to Heart: Heart Disease Prevention and Awareness.”
Chelsea pursued post-graduate work at Lyndon State College where she developed her broadcasting skills on LSC-TV’s News 7 on the Vermont Center for Community Journalism. While at Lyndon State College, she also had the opportunity to learn under Jim Cantore of The Weather Channel and work as a research meteorologist under Dr. Jay Shafer, a professor in Atmospheric Science.

During her year as Miss Vermont, Chelsea Ingram will tour the state discussing her platform issue, heart disease, with government representatives, business leaders, community groups and the public.
