Rick attends William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her ambition is to obtain a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine, specifically to become an Internal Medicine physician specializing in Gerontology.

Her platform is Full Plates, Healthy States. “My chosen platform is entitled Full Plates, Healthy States, and it conveys the issue for which I am committed to advocating as Miss Amory Railroad Festival. Through my extensive experience volunteering initially at my local food pantry and other places such as that, I have come in contact with what is, ironically, an epidemic in our country. Unfortunately, it is one which is underestimated and thus simply left unaddressed in many places. I feel that through my personal testimony of witnessing countless hungry children, adults, and elders, I can attest to the absolute urgency of this cause which is so close to my heart. Especially in these economic downtimes, hunger is running rampantly closer than you may think. It is an issue with our neighbors, students, coworkers, and so many others in our great nation. In the land of the plenty, it is unacceptable that so many should go without such a basic necessity–and part of my platform addresses that in resolving hunger, we must emphasize providing healthy, nutritious food to those without,” she wrote.

For talent, she performed “Can’t Help Lovin’ That Man” from the Broadway musical “Showboat.”

Earlier, she won two preliminary titles — talent and swimwear.
