Courtney Garrett, the reigning Miss State Fair, was crowned Miss Virginia 2014 at the conclusion of the Miss Virginia Scholarship pageant held on June 28th, 2014 at the Roanoke Civic Center in Roanoke. She will represent the state of Virginia at the Miss America 2015 pageant, scheduled for September 14th, 2014 in the Atlantic City.
Courtney Garrett wins Miss Virginia 2014 and will compete in Miss America 2015 pageant.
Garrett, 21, is a graduate student at Liberty University with a degree in communications/public relations. She’s also completing a second degree in music/vocal performance, and has been accepted into Liberty’s graduate program.
Her pageant’s platform: Defying Disabilities.
For talent, she sung opera, a piece called Parla Piu Piano from The Godfather.

The first runner-up was Savannah Lane.
The second runner-up was Elizabeth Martin.
The third runner-up was Victoria Maiden.
The fourth runner-up was Veronica Robertson.
At the same event, Casey Shepard was crowned Miss Virginia’s Outstanding Teen 2014 and will travel to Orlando, Florida to represent Virginia in the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2015 pageant in early August.
