Holly Desai was crowned Miss Leicestershire 2014 at the conclusion of the local pageant held on Thursday 10th April at the Leicester’s Athena. The trainee accountant is 22 years old and she will compete in the finale of Miss England 2014 pageant, scheduled for June in Torquay.

With the title, she also won a modelling contract, a year’s gym membership and a spa day.
At the same event, the first runner-up was Freya Shah and the second runner-up was Charlotte Kotecha.
The top 5 were Charlotte Kotecha, Tiffani-Amber Pagett, Hannah Lanes, Codie Applebee and Lydia Frost.

18 finalists competed for the title on the finals. Each contestant was required to take part in five rounds: sportswoman, eco-friendly, public vote, little black dress and charity – the winner of each category won a place in the final 10.
The panel of Judges include: Leicester Mercury publisher David Simms, last year’s winner Ruth Mukete, Lisa Heath, of DNA Models and Ercan Onguc, owner of headline sponsor, Lanes Fine Jewellery.
