Johna Edmonds was crowned the title of Miss North Carolina 2013 at the end of the state’s pageant held on Saturday night of June 22, 2013 at Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh. She will represent the state of North Carolina at the upcoming Miss America 2014 pageant to be held this September in Atlantic City.

At the time of crowning, Edmonds is the reigning Miss Johnston County (she was crowned on Feb. 16, 2013).
Edmonds will represent North Carolina at the Miss America 2014 pageant
Edmonds is also no stranger to beauty pageant, especially the Miss America system. Sh competed for Miss North Carolina 2011 as Miss Tarheel.
She finished in the top 10 at the Miss North Carolina 2012 Pageant as Miss Garner.
Edmonds is a graduate of North Carolina State University with an accounting degree. She is a former winter tax intern at KPMG in Raleigh.
“Since the age of three, when I performed in my first dance recital, I knew that I had a special God-given talent to entertain, which has been evident with my participation in the Miss America Pageant system,” she said in a 2011 interview with the Poole College of Management.
