Kirsty Rose Heslewood, Miss North London 2013, was crowned Miss England 2013 at the end of the pageant held at Riviera International Centre in Torquay on June 16, 2013. Kirsty of Bishop’s Stortfordis 23 years old and stands 1.77 m (5’10”). She will represent England at the upcoming Miss World 2013 pageant in Jakarta, Indonesia on September 28.

When she was a little girl, Kirsty suffered with selective mutism and she did not speak at school from her first day at nursery until the age of seven.
Studying for A Levels and becoming a model helped Kirsty grow in confidence. She won Miss Hertfordshire 2012 and competed at Miss England 2012 pageant but did not place.
Kirsty decided to give it another shot and she was crowned Miss North London 2013 during the final of the pageant held on Saturday 16th February 2013 at the Village, Elstree.
The first runner-up was Nena France, Miss London City 2013. The second runner-up was Mary Kate McKay, Miss Preston Guild 2013.
