Lauren Guzman Crowned Miss Texas USA 2014

Lauren Guzman, representing Central Laredo, has just been crowned Miss Texas USA 2014 at the conclusion of the pageant held on September 1st, 2013 at the Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel in Houston, Texas. She will represent Texas in the Miss USA 2014 pageant, scheduled for next summer at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Doral, Florida.

Perseverance pays for Lauren Guzman. According to WorldShowbiz.Info, she was the fourth runner-up in Miss Texas USA 2013, the first runner-up in Miss Texas USA 2012, the third runner-up in Miss Texas USA 2011. Lauren was the winner of Miss Texas Teen USA 2008 pageant.

She is a member of the Quick Response Team of the Texas State Guard, a volunteer state military force which assists and augments Texas civil authorities in times of emergencies and in on-going support of local communities.

With the title, Lauren walks away with a $45,600 scholarship to Lindenwood University of St. Charles, Mo. and a partial scholarship to the New York Film Academy; plus cash, wardrobe, jewelry, fitness and dental allowances.

The first runner-up was Jordan Schultz, representing Dallas. Jordan was the first runner-up last year and also the first runner-up in Miss Tennessee USA 2011.

The second runner-up was Yliana Guerra, representing South Texas.

The third runner-up was Peyton Saverance, representing Kemah. Last year, she competed as Miss Houston USA. Peyton has competed 6 consecutive times in the Miss Texas USA pageants.

The fourth runner-up was Alejandra Gonzalez, representing South Central Texas. This is her third attempt at the Miss USA system. However, third time’s not the charm for her yet.
