Mary Jean Lastimosa was the overall winner of the Bb. Pilipinas 2014 pageant held at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City on Sunday night
March 30, 2014 and was therefore crowned the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2014. The 26-year-old North Cotabato native will represent the Philippines in the upcoming Miss Universe 2014 pageant.
Mary Jean Lastimosa (C) was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2014 during the finale of The Bb. Pilipinas 2014 , held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Sunday.
Third time’s the charm for Lastimosa. She was the second runner-up in Bb. Pilipinas 2011 and was one of the Top 12 in Bb. Pilipinas 2012.

“Binibining Pilipinas’ Maricar Balagtas is her inspiration for joining the pageant again, because she joined three times before winning. Whenever she feels down, she looks up at her and thinks that if she was able to do it and so can she,” wrote the the Bb. Pilipinas website.
During the highly anticipated but dreaded question and answer portion, reigining Miss Universe Gabriela Isler asked the Davao-based entrepreneur: “What is the greatest advantage of being a woman?”
“The greatest advantage of being a woman is being able to compose ourselves. Just like here, we’re standing in front of thousands of people not knowing if they’re cheer for us. But we try to compose ourselves, we keep the emotions and show the beauty that is in us. And tonight, thousands of people are here, celebrating the beauty of a woman,” she answered.
At the same event, 24-year-old Bianca Guidotti was crowned Miss International Philippines 2014 and will represent the country in Miss International 2014 pageant.
Parul Shah was crowned Miss Tourism Philippines 2014 and will compete in the respective international beauty pageant – Miss Tourism Queen International 2014.
Yvethe Marie Santiago was crowned Miss Supranational Philippines 2014 and will represent the country in Miss Supranational 2014 pageant.
Kris Tiffany Janson was crowned Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2014 and will represent the country in Miss Intercontinental 2014 pageant. This is the newest title given at the Binibining Pilipinas pageant.
The first runner-up was Laura Lehman and the second runner-up was Hannah Ruth Sison.
