MerrieBeth Cox Crowned Miss Indiana 2012

MerrieBeth Cox was crowned Miss Indiana 2012 on June 24, 2012 at the Zionsville Performing Arts Center. She will represent Indiana in Miss America 2013 Pageant to be held in Las Vegas next January.

At the time of her crowning, she was the reigning Miss Duneland. She is 21 years old and student at Purdue University majoring in physical education. She is a championship baton twirler. She has been a Golden Girl, Miss Purdue University and a member of Zeta Tau Alpha.
Her platform is Overcoming Challenges.
“I love all the people I meet and connections I make,” she told Her Campus. “I especially love all the work I do with children and elders because they are so appreciative and they really make me feel like I am making a difference in people’s lives. I love performing, too! There is nothing like 65,000 screaming fans to pump you up!”

First runner-up to Miss Indiana was Miss Banks of the Wabash, Audra Casterline, 21, of Fishers, Indiana.

23 year old Mekayla Diehl, Miss Wabash Valley 23, of Bristol, Indiana was 2nd runner up.

3rd runner-up was Miss Purdue University, Brittany Smith, 22, of Elmhurst, Illinois.

4th runner-up was Miss Metropolitan, Megan Thwaites, 20, of Garrett, Indiana.
