Brighton Barnard was crowned Miss Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen 2013 at the conclusion of the pageant held at the Hot Springs Convention Center on July 6th, 2013. Barnard will represent Arkansas at the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2014 Pageant in Orlando this coming August.

Miss Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen 2013, Brighton Barnard. She will compete at the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2014 pageant.
At the time of her crowning, Brighton is the reigning Miss Central Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen.
The Little Rock native is just 14 years old.
For talent, Brighton performed a contemporary dance “Firework”.
Her pageant platform is Shine Bright.
“Shine Bright enables me to encourage students to be leaders and do great works in their communities. By being a leader, students can guide others to live positively and create a lifestyle of service for themselves. I believe that service is putting your leadership into action. Through leadership and volunteerism, students are able to gain new life skills and shape their character,” Brighton wrote on her website.

Miss Arkansas 2013 will be crowned in two week’s time (July 20th, 2013). The winner will compete at the upcoming Miss America 2014 pageant this September in Atlantic City. Arkansas is the last state to choose her representative this year.
