Miss England 2011, Alize Mounter, is taking to the sky next month when she undertakes a parachute jump with the famous Red Devils, the Parachute Regiments display team in order to raise money for The Parachute Regiment Charity.

Alize, who is petrified of heights, will embark on a 13,000 feet tandem Skydive, which includes a 45 second free-fall, on the 5th October, in a bid to get over her fear and also raise money for the Charity – which helps injured paratroopers.

Alize said, “I am really looking forward to doing my skydive next month and helping to raise money for such a good cause. Although, like most people, the thought of actually jumping out of the plane terrifies me, it is something I have always wanted to do and will be a huge personal achievement for me. Plus I am sure I will be in safe hands strapped to a paratrooper from the Red Devils!!”

Major Paul Blair, Commanding Officer for The Red Devils, “We are delighted that ALize has decided to get over her fear and do a skydive to raise money for The Parachute Regiment. Its not everyday that we get a beauty queen in our midst and especially as Alize is Miss England, so I am sure the boys will enjoy helping her out and reassuring her every step along the way. We guarantee that it will be an unforgettable experience for her, and us!”

The skydive has been arranged by Alize’s sponsor, Front Promotions Limited, who has helped her throughout her Miss England journey by coaching her in catwalk and interview techniques, arranging photo shoots, shopping sprees and hair and make-up workshops to ensure she is fully prepared for the Miss World competition in October/November. Front has donated £250 to the charity as a thank you for enabling Alize to undertake the sky dive.
