Mary Nyanut Von revealed that they have already advertised for girls to apply and have so received nine contestants from within the country out of the intended twenty.

“I urge all the South Sudanese to come and support us because the winner will represent all our country so we want to give her all the support such that she knows she is going to represent the people that love her and the country that she loves,’ she said.

Last year for the first time in history, Atong Demach represented South Sudan in the world’s beauty contest where she earned her self the top model title and becoming the continental queen of Africa becoming fourth out of the 116 countries that participated.

She also said that people think that modelling is not a job and that it is something to get spoiled. She criticized the argument and called on the people to join the profession and support it.
