Road to Miss America 2013:
Tippe Emmott, Miss Branson, was crowned Miss Missouri 2012 on June 9, 2012 at the Missouri Military Academy in Mexico. The beauty from Springfield is 21 years old. She will represent Missouri in Miss America 2013 Pageant to be held in Las Vegas next January.

She will represent Missouri in Miss America 2013 Pageant
The Drury University student Tippe Emmott is 21 years old. Emmott’s pageant talent is Ballet en Pointe. Her platform was “Building Self-confidence to Achieve Success”. Emmott said part of her platform was to help inform children of some of the dangers of social media.
“I think that, at least before the age of 18, parents should be involved with what their children are posting on the Internet. What they’re putting out there is going to stay there,” she said.
Active in the local community, Emmott has helped raise money for Children’s Miracle Network. She has also created her own coloring book, “Tippe’s Tippy Toe Tips,” which is filled with inspirational messages for young girls.
Along with the crown and sash, she won a $10,000 scholarship. Tippe is a beauty pageant veteran. Last year, she represented Missouri at the National Sweetheart pageant, where she was first runner-up. She also participated in the Missouri 2010 and 2009 pageants.
The first runner-up was Jennifer Zweifel. The second runner-up was Shelby Ringdahl. The third runner-up was Amanda Williams. The fourth runner-up was Mary Bauer.
